De Dietrich was founded in 1684 by Jean Dietrich in the north-east of Strasbourg, a region that lies today at the geographic and economic heart of Europe and to which the Group has remained profoundly attached. After the disposal, between 1992 and 2004, of its traditional subsidiaries in white goods, railway equipment and heating equipment, De Dietrich is now focused on only one core business, De Dietrich Process Systems, built around its former activity in chemical equipment, and two other leading companies : Rosenmund acquired in 1999 and QVF acquired in 2000. De Dietrich Process Systems is a worldwide supplier of process equipment, systems and services to the fine chemical and pharmaceutical industries : De Dietrich Glass-Lining is the world's second-largest manufacturer of glass-lined steel equipment ; Rosenmund is the world leader in filters and filter-dryers ; QVF is the world leader in glass anti-corrosion components and also a leading supplier of pilot plant equipment as well as engineering and process systems. Delisted in 2001, De Dietrich was temporarily controlled by financial investors between 2000 and 2004. Since december 2004, the company is all over again 100% controlled by the De Dietrich family. |
