Mechanical and Piping BIM 3D designer
hybrid position based in Sant Cugat del Vallès near Barcelona.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project managers and project teams with mechanical and piping drawings generation, from P&ID to 3D modelling in Autocad Plant 3D of our systems and plants and 2D constructive drawings and lay-out generation. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable making inspection at boiler shops or onsite to monitor the work progress and its quality, as well as interacting with customer counter parts.

Technical competences
-
Deep knowledge and strong experience in the use on Autocad Plant 3D, Plant P&ID and Navisworks. Demonstrable solid experience in the administration of the BIM tool, e.g. creation of specifications, libraries, automatic bill of materials, etc will represent a big plus for the position.

Isometric drawing creation with BOM.

Ability to carry out supervisory and control work in the field in a timely manner.

Knowledge in the use and handling other design tools will represent a plus for the position:

Structure design using Autodesk Advance Steel, Tekla,…

Equipment design with 3D parametric software like SolidWorks, Inventor,..
Responsibilities
-
Assume the responsibility to complete the assigned design works on time, with the highest quality and under the budgeted hours.

Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines.

Support supervision works on site when required.

In general support the project managers and project teams with technical task.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Technical background and extensive formal training on Autocad Plant 3D and BIM
-
At least 5 years' of experience as a Mechanical and piping Designer of process plants or complex machinery.

At least 3 year’s of experience using Autocad Plant 3D to realize BIM projects of process plants or complex machinery.

Able to communicate fluently in Spanish and English.

Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
