Our Wuxi factory has resumed activities.

20 February 2020
Due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in China, many Chinese factories as well as customers / vendors, have been unable to resume after the Lunar New Year holidays, as workers across China have been unable or unwilling to return to work due to travel restrictions and local law enforcement practices.

Caught off guard by unprecedented difficulties, DDWX as the first batch foreign enterprises to resume work in China has rolled out active precaution measures while resuming production on 10th Feb. after substantial preparations against epidemic that were duly approved by government.

The work resumption delay, logistics stagnation, lack of raw material and other customer decision/approval rescheduling will undoubtedly lead to production disruption for the company in the short run.

"The health and safety of our employees are of primary consideration, and we put everything in place to ensure staff’s protection inside our factory. Also, staff kindly be reminded to strictly follow basic safety rules also when they leave the factory." said Stephane GARNIER, Managing Director of DDWX.

"I feel quite safe as the company has beefed up prevention against the virus," a staff at De Dietrich Process Systems Wuxi said. "We abide by the rules and regulations and strengthen self-protection while working hard at factory."

As of February 20, the entirety of our staff is cleared to go back to work.

"For the sake of safety, mainly local workers have returned. Those from Hubei and other hard-hit areas are not back, making us a little shorthanded," Chen Shangwei, HSE manager said.

"Substantial preparations before the resumption of work have rendered smooth operation. However, due to traffic controls in some provinces, transportation and logistics have not fully recovered."

" While we will do our best to recover our current lack of production thanks to everyone effort, our prevention policy already allows us to avoid potential epidemic impact on our team then on our future visitors. Also, we believe that we can deal with the current situation". "China has taken decisive and powerful measures to control the epidemic, and I trust China to rapidly defeat this virus." Stephane Garnier said.
